Can milk be refrigerated once it was fed to baby?

I know you have to discard whatever formula is left after feeding baby, but I’ve just switched my one year old to cow’s milk and am wondering if same applies? Do you refrigerate whatever milk the baby doesn’t consume or do you discard it? I never discarded either.
