How old was your baby when you stopped giving them a bottle before bed?

I’m also trying to slowly wean my baby off a bottle. Did you feed your baby milk through a sippy cup before bed? Holding it up for them like a bottle?

Thanks~

my son is going to be a year this month.. they grew up sooo fast didn’t they?! I think if you give her a sippy cup with milk at first, she’ll be okay with it. try the nuk ones – they have soft silicone spouts so it’s similar to a bottle. Then start replacing the milk with water. Give her milk with her meals, and then a sippy cup of water for bed and naps. Dylan takes a bottle too … sometimes he doesn’t even want me, just his bed and his ba (i know thats horrible) .. but a few nights when I knew he had a good dinner, i’d give him just water, and it worked the same. good luck to you!!

I know you have to discard whatever formula is left after feeding baby, but I’ve just switched my one year old to cow’s milk and am wondering if same applies?
Do you refrigerate whatever milk the baby doesn’t consume or do you discard it?
I never discarded either.
Has your snake shed already? Many snakes don’t become hungry until after their first shed. Also, if your snake is new, it may be still adapting to its surroundings (and won’t want to feed until it feels comfortable where it is.)

In addition to the tricks listed above, you might also want to try rubbing a lizard against the pinky mouse to "scent" it- some snakes will not instinctively recognize the rodent as food, and presenting the mouse with a stronger scent may be enough to trigger the snake’s feeding response.

incase little or insufficient breast milk? l know breast milk is best but what if theres a short supply?
also is it true a new born baby -approx 3month should not sleep on it’s back but it’s side, incase it chokes on it’s own vomit?

No, you do NOT want to bring formula to the hospital, OR have it in your house, ‘just in case.’

Usually you’re only in the hospital for a couple of days. During those days, baby gets colostrum, and needs nothing more. (IF, as is VERY rarely the case, you have a baby who gets dehydrated early, the hospital will provide a bit of formula.)

Once you are home, your milk will come in as it’s supposed to, and your baby will get plenty. Having formula on hand ‘just in case’ will tempt you to use it … and early bottles are the most common cause of breastfeeding problems and early weaning.

Babies will not choke on their vomit. Unless you have a baby with severe reflux, back sleeping is best.

I’m sure you can find a good store that sells regular milk. If you’re really worried then you should maybe buy formula for the days that you are gone and wouldn’t try any canned milk or anything like that. I would suggest you buy formula or maybe even pedisaure shakes or something like that!
