How could Christianity send him/her to hell?
Christians with babies, care to explain?

*Since I have a baby, this is the major reason why I reject Christianity and Original Sin theory

All humans (born after Adam and Eve sinned and became imperfect) have ONLY been able to pass along sin and imperfection to their offspring.

So it’s not that a newborn baby committed any sin, but that newborn baby was born to sinful, imperfect parents who could only pass on that inherited sin that they themselves had.

But Jesus’ sacrifice opened the way for that original sinfulness inherited from our first parents (Adam and Eve) to be done away with. By one’s exercising faith in Jesus’ shed blood and that sacrifice, and living in accordance with the scriptures can a person have the hope to live on into the time when that inherited sin will be completely gone forever.

I am 33 weeks pregnant and preparing for the arrival of our little one. I have 2 cats which I love very much and have no intentions of getting rid of. I was wondering if anyone out there has had experience with their cats and how they reacted to the arrival of your newborn. One of my cats is very bold and investigates everything, as well as can jump up on to things that are four feet high! How did your cats react to a newborn and what is your advice for keeping them away from the baby?

My cat is and was older when my daughter was born. He ignored me for a few days (I think he may have been jealous because she took up his lap space) but he was ok with it after that. I never had a problem with him licking her bottles or her face or anything. He would however sleep in her bassinet but only when she wasnt in there. If he saw me get up to put her in he would jump right out and watch her sleep while he sat on the arm of the easy chair. Waiting for her to wake up so he could go back in there. Wasnt really a problem except she would wake up with some cat fur on her jammies sometimes. Now this new kitten we got is terrible. He chewed the nipple off one of her bottles when she had dropped it on the floor, tried to steal one of her pacifiers once, and pooped in a box that we were keeping some of her old toys in. Grrrrrr!!! But the good thing about both those cats is my daughter’s getting to the age where she likes to pick them up and carry them. The kitten she has no problem with and he just takes it. Never scratched her or anything even though she’s held him upside down and stuffed him in the cupboards. The older one runs away when he sees her coming now.
Sorry for rambling…anyway, just keep an eye on your cats. Cover bottles if you’re going to use them, get pacifiers that have the removable covers on them. Keep them away when your babys sleeping. Theres really no way to train them to stay away from the baby as cats are usually very independent and are going to explore what they want to explore so just keep an eye on them and their behavior around your baby. You could also pick up a net that can go over a childs bassinet or crib to make sure the cats stay off her when you’re asleep. They’re mainly used to keep flies off but I’m sure they’ll work for cats too. Or just keep the door to whatever room she’s sleeping in shut so the cats cant get in.

Thanks!

Many babies are never in newborn size clothes and most aren’t in them for more than a couple of weeks. I would recommend getting 0-3 months size. They’ll be a bit big but not for long. You will probably need at least two a day with a day here or there of using 3. I always had my babies in onesies. I loved them.

Pick the temp that you are comfy at. Babies are usually a little more hot natured that adults (higher fat). Most people have babies sweating all of the time.

I have twins as well. They are 5 years old now! They usually woke up every 2-3 hours at first. If one woke up i fed and changed him/her and then I would wake the other change and feed that way they are on the same schedule. Yes you should feed and change them each time they wake up. Good luck!

I did. I brought him home in a little sleeper. it was a newborn size and still too big and baggy but we still put it on him and he wore it home.

you could do a white outfit. it’s gender neutral and it’ll look so cute for pictures, plus that’s the one time your baby will wear white and not get it messy…a little sleeper or some pants and a shirt will be fine for that. bring a light blanket and a heavy blanket and dress baby according to the weather — whatever you’re comfortable wearing plus another light layer is plenty.

One of my newborn baby turtles will NOT get on the surface.
But the other one is completely fine.Cookie (the one who won’t bask) I am afraid he will get soft shell or fungus.I am afraid to pick him up because my other turtle died from to much handling.I just got them today and I don’t want Cookie to die from drowning!

Congratulations! I had just about given up on finding somebody who knew that handling is not good for turtles, especially small ones. I’m sorry that you had to learn the hard way, though.

While basking is a good way to pick up vitamin D, it is not the only way. The easiest thing for you to do is to feed your turtles strips of liver. If you dust them in bonemeal, you will provide calcium for the vitamin D to work on too. Other good sources of vitamin D are Linatone (expensive) and cod-liver oil. If you feed whole fishes, the turtlets will get vitamin D and calcium, although in smaller quantities.

Be sure that the ramp is easy for the baby to climb up. If it still doesn’t want to bask, don’t worry. There is a lot of individual variation and species variation. Snapping turtles, for example, rarely bask out of the water and I have yet to see one with either fungus or soft-shell.

Also have a part of the tank where Cookie can stand on the bottom and still reach the surface to breathe. Cookie should be fine. Or as fine as any newborn turtle can be.

Every baby is different and while some sleep for hours on end other wake up ever couple of hours. If baby wakes up hungry then yes you feed her. Most likely your baby girl will be waking up to eat. Baby stomachs are as big as a marble therefore need to be feed constantly. Don’t worry that you have no experience with babies, when your daughter gets here you will know what to do. Being a mommy comes natural. Trust me I had no training and manage to survive as many as other moms have for many years. Congrats on your baby girl!

How long should a newborn baby be kept away from people with sickness bug?
There is a sickness bug that has hit many family and friends and we were told that it is safe to be around them after 48 hrs of the last person in a household getting it. But, how true is this? I am being induced tomorrow as i am 12 days overdue and am worried about the baby! I have stayed away from all family and friends with the sickness but i have been in contact with the ones who didnt have it but could possibly have caught it.

I highly recommend breast feeding the baby to help prevent the baby from getting sick. As far as keeping sick-os away from baby, I say 48-72 hrs is good. Make sure everyone is washing their hands before holding your lil one. Congrats!
