i just got a baby milk snake "a hatchling" and it won’t eat i even gave it the smallest pinkie i could find. any suggestoins on what to fead it?

Has your snake shed already? Many snakes don’t become hungry until after their first shed. Also, if your snake is new, it may be still adapting to its surroundings (and won’t want to feed until it feels comfortable where it is.)

In addition to the tricks listed above, you might also want to try rubbing a lizard against the pinky mouse to "scent" it- some snakes will not instinctively recognize the rodent as food, and presenting the mouse with a stronger scent may be enough to trigger the snake’s feeding response.

its gross but try cutting a small cut on the mouse to make it bleed, as they are attracted to the smell of blood, or keep the snake and mouse in a small box over night(not in its usual cage) with breathing holes and no way for the snake to escape, and it might eat then. if not take it to a pet store or vet to get them to have the snake start to eat. there is a possibility it may not eat and die, thats why pet stores dont sell newly born snakes with out it eating atleast a few times.
