Should i be feeding my son more babyfood?

I have a 6 month old that eats cereal 2 tblsp in the am and a half jar of babyfood in the afternoon usually veggies, and veggies and fruit for dinner usually a half jar… should i be giving him more food??? like a hole jar a lunch and more cereal? he also eats all his bottles as well, but seems hungry in the afternoon but i dont want to over feed should i be giving him more than a half jar?

if he seems hungry then go ahead. Babies normally won’t overeat. What I do is give my son about 3-4 tbsp of cereal in the AM, He just got his first taste of veggies today, and get gets another 3-4 tbsp of cereal before bed. He’s 5 months old.

Babies don’t overeat. This is more of an adult thing. If he seems hungery then feed him more. He will let you know when he is full.

Just watch his cues,he will let you know when he’s had enough.
You didn’t say what size baby jar,but at that age my son was finishing a whole size 2 jar in one sitting.

my boys at 6 months old were eating like cows!! literally. they were on table food by then. they were eating a full quartered hot dog. i was giving cereal with fruit in the morning, veggies, and fruit at lunch, and hot dogs, and rice, and veggies for supper. i just diced up what we were eating and giving it to them. my boys never ever had jarred baby food. the dr says to give with no salt. so…..i went out and bought without salt, and with ours i added salt and butter but, with the boys i gave it to them plain. i would also give them like 8 oz of milk when they would go to bed. i wouldn’t listen to what anyone else says. if your kids hungry he’s hungry. let the poor kid eat. he’ll burn it off if he’s crawling. my boys are now 4 and 3 and they are 40 lbs and 43 inches tall and 38 inches tall and 33 lbs. they are fine. let the kid eat and not starve!!

    good luck
