What baby products are safe to use? Is there a list or guide available?

I am looking to give shower and baby gifts for a family member, and the mother is being very specific about safety. She does not want anything from China because of the recent recalls. I am wondering if anyone knows if there are any guidelines or lists somewhere that identifies safe products. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no list that I am aware of but there are some products
available that are made in the USA and in Europe.
My favorite bath product for babies that is made in the USA is Noodle and Boo.
The best toys are made in Germany by Haba, Selecta, etc.
Also, clothes made in France and most of Europe will not have fire retardant in it(nasty stuff that gets soaked into your baby’s skin).
Some of the products are a little pricey, especially coming from Europe because their currency is very strong right now. I will list some websites below.
